Ana Radmilovic
Practicum Student Therapist
Ana Radmilovic is a PhD student in Clinical Developmental Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology Stream at York University. She received her Master of Arts in Clinical Developmental Psychology at York University and her honours Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Lethbridge. Ana has received clinical training in pediatric neuropsychological and psychoeducational assessments at the Hospital for Sick Children and the York University Psychology Clinic. She is completing her practicum placement at Sageview Health, where she provides individual psychotherapy to children and youth with diverse emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs.
Her approach integrates a variety of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT). She tailors her approach to align with each client’s developmental stage, strengths, and goals. Ana supports clients presenting with concerns such as anxiety, mood difficulties, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), and selective mutism. She emphasizes collaboration, emotional safety, and caregiver involvement, where appropriate. Her approach focuses on building connection, promoting self-awareness, and encouraging active engagement in the therapeutic process.
Ana has received several academic distinctions, including the Ontario Graduate Scholarship at both the master’s and doctoral levels. Her research examines how prenatal environmental exposures shape early brain development and influence long-term neurodevelopmental trajectories in children. She has presented at conferences across Canada and internationally, and she is dedicated to integrating evidence-based research into her clinical practice to support children and their families.
