Dr. Adrijana Krsmanovic
Psychologist
Dr. Adrijana Krsmanovic is a Clinical and Health Psychologist, registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She obtained her Master’s and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Queen’s University, and completed her predoctoral residency at the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Dr. Krsmanovic has worked with adults in various clinical settings including the Chronic Pain Clinic at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, outpatient tertiary care clinics (Cardiology, Oncology, Pain Management, Insomnia Clinic) at Nova Scotia Health Authority in Halifax, and in private practice. She was involved in teaching and supervision of students in her previous role as part-time assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences at McMaster University.
Dr. Krsmanovic provides assessment and treatment to adults with a variety of presenting concerns, including grief and loss, chronic pain and chronic health issues or illnesses, low mood or depression, anxiety disorders and phobias, stress, insomnia or difficulties with sleep, adjustment to life transitions, relationship difficulties, managing difficult emotions (guilt, anger, shame), and navigating infertility, pregnancy and postpartum challenges. Dr. Krsmanovic takes a compassionate and collaborative approach, and uses evidence-based treatments to help clients achieve their goals. She draws primarily from a cognitive-behavioural therapy perspective, but also integrates strategies from mindfulness, motivational interviewing, acceptance and commitment therapy, and dialectical behaviour therapy. She is warm, non-judgmental, and passionate about helping people to overcome struggles and make lasting changes.
