Jennifer Dillane
Psychotherapist
Jennifer is a Registered Psychotherapist with the CRPO with over 20 years’ experience. She completed an MPhil in Psychology at the University of Glasgow and an MSc in Criminological Psychology at the University of Birmingham.
Jennifer has provided assessment and treatment to clients across the life span. She has worked in many different clinical settings -inpatient, secure units, prisons, community based, charities -specialised services, and private practice. Most recently, she has been providing assessment and treatment to clients in the community with work-based injuries, many of whom are first responders or veterans, with complex trauma histories.
Jennifer has been providing trauma treatment for many years, predominantly using EMDR treatment, and with more complex trauma, draws on training involving chronic traumatisation and structural dissociation.
Jennifer uses a person-centred approach, which she tailors to fit the needs of the individual, and at the heart of her treatment is the belief that the therapeutic relationship is of paramount importance. She uses an integrative approach drawing on other treatment modalities such as psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Internal Family Systems, attachment based, Schema Therapy, & mindfulness. She has provided CBT for use with anger, depression, anxiety, and compassionate mind.
Jennifer enjoys a wide variety of physical activities, including yoga and hiking. She also enjoys spending time with her family and dog walking.
