Sarah McClung

Practicum Student Therapist

Sarah is a student therapist currently completing her Master of Science in Psychotherapy at McMaster University. She also holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Guelph and a Certificate in Professional Addiction Studies from McMaster University. Sarah provides therapy under the clinical supervision of a Registered Psychotherapist.

She supports individuals navigating a range of concerns, including self-esteem, identity exploration, burnout, life transitions, and relationship challenges. Sarah is especially interested in working with those who may appear to be coping well outwardly but feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of their next steps internally — whether in school, work, or their personal lives.

Her therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and practical. Sarah draws on principles from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and strengths-based frameworks to help clients build emotional awareness, challenge unhelpful patterns, and move toward meaningful change.
