Dr. Ananya Sharma

Dr. Sharma has a deep interest in helping clients navigate depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress, behavioural challenges, stress, and interpersonal difficulties. She is particularly passionate about supporting individuals exploring their identity, including gender, sexuality, life transitions, and values-based work, as well as those navigating multicultural and relational challenges.
Her clinical approach integrates feminist, multicultural, cognitive-behavioural (CBT), dialectical behaviour (DBT), and humanistic therapies, guided by a strong appreciation for individuality, context, and lived experience. She tailors therapy to each person’s unique needs, creating a collaborative and supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered.
Having lived across North America and grown up in a multilingual household, Dr. Sharma brings curiosity, openness, and adaptability to her work. Originally from Punjab, India, she speaks Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, and English. She has worked across the lifespan, from young children to older adults, and in a variety of settings, including hospitals, medical clinics, university counselling centres, and private practice.
Dr. Sharma believes that therapy is a shared journey. She approaches each client with warmth, empathy, and respect, and is committed to helping them build insight, resilience, and meaningful change in their lives.
