Dr. Nicolas Meade
Psychologist (Supervised Practice)
Dr. Nicolas Meade completed his Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology at Nova Southeastern University and his APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship in the Yale School of Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry. He is currently completing supervised practice with the College of Psychologists of Ontario, providing therapy and assessment to children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Meade has a strong commitment to providing evidence-based, trauma-informed support for individuals managing depression, anxiety, complex post-traumatic stress, and interpersonal challenges. His primary clinical approach is rooted in humanistic and culturally humble frameworks, incorporating elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices. He believes therapy is a collaborative process where each client is regarded as an expert in their own lived experiences. As a therapist, his core values include compassion, growth, empowerment, and connection.
Dr. Meade is dedicated to creating safe and affirming spaces for clients within the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. He has a special interest in affirming supports for transgender and gender expansive people and is a sought after speaker, trainer, and researcher in the areas of gender diversity and gender joy.
