She has worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, community, private practice, and university clinics. Her interests are in both treatment and assessment, with a special focus on striving to integrate empirically-supported approaches to deliver services.
Katherine provides in-person and online treatment to adults presenting with various difficulties including: mood, anxiety, depression, substance use, and psychosis. She strives to work together with clients to build a safe, non-judgmental, trusting relationship. In this client-centered environment, treatment is collaborative and clients are encouraged to work through their difficulties at a pace that is comfortable for them. Her primary theoretical orientation is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). However, she also integrates skills from several modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing (MI). She is also trained in providing psychodiagnostic assessments. Katherine welcomes prospective clients to reach out for a consultation to explore opportunities and assess fit.
