Lauren Baumken

Lauren Baumken is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and the Northwest Territories Social Workers Professions Act. Lauren is also a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW).  Lauren received her Master of Social Work at the University of Toronto, with a specialization in Health & Mental Health. Lauren has over 10 years experience working in community mental health, hospital, and private practice settings. Lauren provides psychotherapy to adolescents and adults who struggle with emotion dysregulation, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, self-harm, borderline personality disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Lauren is extensively trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and is one of 30 clinicians in Canada certified by the DBT- Linehan Board of Certification. Lauren also has training in DBT-Prolonged Exposure for PTSD, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CPT) informed approaches. Lauren works collaboratively and non-judgmentally with clients to meet their goals and increase their quality of life. Lauren is passionate about evidenced-based care and continuous professional and personal development.
