Dr. Rummy Gill
Psychologist
Dr. Rummy Gill is an Ontario licensed Clinical, School and Forensic Psychologist. She has been practicing in Ontario for over 15 years and works with adults, adolescents and couples. Dr. Gill uses empirically supported interventions combining cognitive-behavioral, emotionally focused and dialectical behavioral techniques to help clients achieve their therapeutic goals. Areas of expertise include: depression, anxiety, addictions, attention-deficit-hyperactivity disorder, general emotional- regulation issues (i.e. anger management, self-harming behavior), posttraumatic-stress disorder and relationship issues. In her work with couples, Dr. Gill has experience addressing communication difficulties, infidelity concerns, separation/divorce, intimacy/sexual issues, and co-parenting conflict. In addition to providing psychotherapy, Dr. Gill is skilled in psycho-diagnostic assessments, forensic assessments and assessments related to learning disorders/ADHD. Dr. Gill received her doctorate in psychology from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. Her training focused primarily on clinical practice within a multi-cultural framework. In addition to working at Sageview Health, she is the Manager of Psychology Services in the Peel District School Board. She was formerly the Chief Psychologist for the Ministry of Solicitor General. Her previous positions include: Associate Director at Humber College for the Health and Counselling departments, Supervising Psychologist for the Toronto Western Hospital, Associate Professor at Queens University and a Clinical Manager for a leading EAP firm. Dr. Gill strives to provide her clients with a therapeutic process that feels safe, empowering, and healing. She is non-judgmental in her approach and works collaboratively with her clients ensuring that they are finding value in their treatment.
