Sageview Health is a training centre which means we provide excellent and effective training to individuals who are on route to becoming therapists (“Supervised Therapists”). Our supervised therapists are part way through the completion of their training. Some are currently in graduate school finishing their Master’s or PhD and others have completed their schooling and are collecting hours before becoming registered therapists. All supervised therapists have training in psychotherapy and assessment and are being supervised by a registered clinical psychologist. We offer low-cost therapy options for children, youth, adults and couples.
What to Expect?
When working with one of our supervised therapists you’ll meet over one or two assessment sessions. During these sessions your therapist will gain and understanding of your concerns, circumstances, and develop a plan for treatment.
Our supervised therapists meet with their supervisors on a regular basis. The role of the supervisor is to oversee the therapy provided, act as a mentor to the supervised therapist, help guide their focus in therapy with you, and review all notes. Supervisors are not present in sessions; however, sessions may be recorded to allow supervisors to provide effective guidance to the therapists.
