How much does a therapy session cost?
Our session fees depend on the type of clinician you see, starting from $90 per session with a practicum student. Our client care team can tell you the fee for each clinician when booking.
Practicum students work under the supervision of a registered psychologist or psychotherapist. Supervised therapists and practicum students are how we offer lower cost therapy in Mississauga to children, youth, adults and couples.
Does my plan cover psychologists, psychotherapists and social workers?
Most extended health benefits plans in Ontario cover psychotherapy provided by psychologists, registered psychotherapists and/or social workers. Coverage varies depending on your plan, so we always recommend that you check with your provider to confirm which designations are included.
Questions worth asking your insurer before you book:
- Which designations does my plan cover: psychologist, psychotherapist, social worker?
- What is my yearly maximum, and is there a per-session limit?
- Does my plan require a referral?

What if I have limited benefits coverage?
If you are working with a specific amount of coverage for your therapy services, please discuss this with our client care team when booking. They can help you determine whether one of our lower cost services would be suitable. You can also discuss this with your clinician during your initial appointment. Your clinician can work with you to determine how to make the most of the time your coverage allows for.
It helps to know what to plan for. Therapy is a different experience for everyone, but most clients can expect to attend 4 to 16 sessions depending on their concerns. We generally recommend starting with weekly sessions. This can often shift to bi-weekly and/or monthly appointments as you progress.
In Mississauga and virtually across Ontario
You can see a clinician at our Meadowvale office, 2000 Argentia Road, Plaza 3, Suite 101 in Mississauga, or meet by video through virtual therapy across Ontario. Clients from Brampton and elsewhere in the province can attend virtually, as long as they are physically located in Ontario at the time of the appointment.
We see adults for individual therapy in Mississauga, as well as couples, families, and children and youth through our child and teen therapy team.
